Stéfanie GélinasManaging Director, Talpa Content USA and TalpaCreative Stéfanie Gélinas, a seasoned and successful television development executive, has held prominent positions in European and North American media companies for more than a decade. In 2006, Gélinas was recruited by Talpa Media CEO and Endemol co-founder John de Mol to establish Talpa Content USA. In June 2008, Gélinas successfully launched TalpaCreative.com, an innovative online creative community dedicated to finding great reality television concepts by tapping into the collective creativity of mainstream entertainment fans. Gélinas’ broad experience and international outlook guide her global perspective on traditional television development, as well as Talpa’s new media initiatives. Prior to joining Talpa, Gélinas was vice president of development strategy for Fremantle Media North America where she directed new platform activities and produced the syndicated format of American Idol Rewind. As Vice President of Development at Endemol Germany, she spearheaded non-fiction format development, oversaw the production of 18 pilots financed by German TV stations and handled national and international sales for the company. Earlier in her career, Gélinas held creative and management positions at the German Network ProSiebenSat.1 where she launched and established ProSieben’s first US office and was instrumental in the development and launch of the company’s news network, N24. Gélinas received her B.A in Fine Arts and Communication at the University of Quebec. A native of Montreal, Quebec, she is based in Los Angeles where she lives with her husband and their child. She is fluent in French, German and English. |
