Paul Buccieri

President and Chief Executive Officer, Granada America

A senior television executive and executive producer in the entertainment industry, with over seventeen years experience, Paul Buccieri has created, developed and produced a wide range of television projects covering all areas of the industry.

Buccieri is currently President and CEO of Granada America, which he joined in December 2007.

Granada America is the U.S.-based production entity of ITV plc, the largest UK commercial broadcaster and producer. He heads a team of talented producers in the US, on both the West and East coasts, in developing the company’s US business interests. The company acquires and creates original series and formats and is also responsible for the exploitation of existing ITV formats created in the production centers in the UK, Germany and Australia. Buccieri also has a seat on the board of Jaffe Braunstein Entertainment, Granada’s production partner in the scripted business in the US.

During his first year with Granada America, he has grown the business by 40% making it the best year in its history. Within 15 months, Buccieri has increased production from six to sixteen series. The production slate includes Hell’s Kitchen, Eleventh Hour, Nanny 911, The First 48, Kitchen Nightmares, Room Raiders and Celebrity Fit Club.

Before arriving at Granada America, he worked as President of Programming, Production and Development at FOX Twentieth Television for [three] years. In his final year he was responsible for overseeing 16 series and 25 specials, with budgets in excess of $100 million, ranging from America’s Most Wanted, Divorce Court, World Music Awards, Decision House and NFL Network’s Total Access.

Before that, Buccieri was under a three year overall deal with Endemol USA as an executive producer, developing and producing such shows as Anything For Love, Performing As… and The Next Great Champ for Fox and NBC.

Versatile and innovative, with expertise in broadcast, cable, syndication, new media, home video markets and foreign formats, Buccieri has developed and produced over a thousand hours of programming for all the major broadcast networks, cable channels, syndication groups and other media outlets.

Lastly, Buccieri also has a strong expertise in post production and promotion having produced corporate sales presentations for Walt Disney’s International Division, as well as short form products such as the ground breaking launch of NBC 2000, which created the innovative and seamless line-ups that are common place on broadcast and cable today.

Buccieri’s experience has given him a unique ability to understand the complexities and opportunities in both the domestic and international media market place.

Originally signed by the William Morris Agency as a comedy and drama writer, within a short period of time, Buccieri was recognized by “Electronic Media Hot List” as one of the top twelve people thirty-five years or younger to watch in the television industry, and by Variety as one of “the top fifty up-and-coming creative forces in Hollywood.” In 2009, the Hollywood Reporter named Buccieri number fifteen on the list of the most powerful people in reality television.
